Hard to see, but this empty area is a small residential zone bombed by the Russians as the Germans retreated. Although Tallinn received some aerial bombardment very little of the city was damaged.

Here we are in Paldisky, a closed Soviet submarine base until 1994. We had to see it. There is still a lighthouse and some other installations along the once heavily fortified shore.
